I’m Albert Lefran, a Sports Physical Therapist, Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), and the founder of Athletik RX here in Charlotte, NC.

I grew up playing competitive baseball and went on to play at Lynn University, where I earned my bachelor’s in biology. Late in my college career, I had a shoulder injury — and the surgery that followed — changed everything. It was a setback that became my turning point.

That experience sparked my passion for physical therapy, leading me to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, complete a sports residency, and become board certified in sports. Since then, I’ve worked with athletes from high school rookies to seasoned pros, with a special focus on throwing athletes and ACL rehab.

For me, this work is personal. I’ve been the injured athlete wondering what’s next. Now I get to guide others through that uncertainty and help them script their own comeback stories.
